Welcome to Paradise Creek Shorthairs!
Here at Paradise Creek, we are striving to produce an absolutely awesome shorthair. We have tried to selectively combine the best bloodlines around to produce shorthairs that are close-working, have tremendous hunting ability, have great noses, and are conformationally correct. All of our dogs have great dispositions and make wonderful pets.
All of our puppies are whelped in our home and receive tons of love and attention from day 1. Our kids play with the puppies everday to ensure they are well socialized.
While I have been hunting all my life (shot my first pheasant at 4 years old), we have recently started competing in AKC Hunt Tests. We really enjoyed the competition, the people, and the environment at the hunt tests. We will continue to compete with our younger dogs with the goal of having all of our dogs titled to at least a Senior Hunter level.
While raising shorthairs is not our full time jobs (I work for a pharmaceutical company and my wife teaches), this is our hobby and passion. My wife also rides dressage and competes with her horse "Bo." She also trains sporthorses (dressage, riding, driving, jumping).
